Eternal Flame in the Ocean’s Waves

Last summer we were melting

At the hands of each other,

Under the blazing sun, our souls intertwined

Burning brighter with each touch

We burst into stardust to signify our cosmic divine.

In the vast expanse, our love transcends time,

Dreams and emotions align perfectly with the North Tropic of Cancer line,

As we fall into the universes embrace, our hearts find their place,

Forever united in this endless space.

However…

I’m falling into the black hole of your tearful gaze

Where I’m now being pulled from our realm in outer space.

Landing into the ocean, I’m floating in the waves of emotion

Where both love and pain interlace.

Caught in the currents, I lose all sense of place,

Drifting through memories that time can’t heal, nor can it erase,

I submerge my head underwater

To wash away this pain.

But, even in the deep blue,

I see your face and it reminds me

That even when I’m dying in the largest body of water

No matter how far I fall under,

These waves can never put out the spark that ignites our flame…
